I’ve only used Kickstarter to fund a single project, it was a pair of sunglasses called Sunskis and they’re amazing, but now I might start using it more frequently. The company announced an official iOS application on Thursday that will allow you to keep track of, search for and fund projects right from your phone or tablet.

“We took things we’ve learned from the past three years of building the site, and applied them to a total redesign for the iPhone,” Kickstarter CEO Yancey Stickler said. The app should also be a valuable tool for anyone looking to start a Kickstarter campaign; you can keep track of your entire project from the app. Kickstarter didn’t say if there are additional versions planned for Android, BlackBerry 10 or Windows Phone, although we hope it at least lands on Android.
