New Batman Arkham Game Confirmed by Warner’s Financial Call

It looks like Warner Bros. has let the proverbial cat out of the bag. During a recent financial call, one of the studios’ top executives let loose that they’re planning to publish a brand new game in the Batman Arkham franchise sometime in 2013.

Could this be the coming of the previously rumored Silver Age Batman title?

Here’s the exact quote from the financial call as spoken by John K. Martin, CFO of Warner Bros.:

“And we also have a strong games release this year, which will include the next release in the Batman Arkham franchise. So all in all, we expect Warners to post another very strong year in 2013. And with a little luck, the year should be as good or maybe even a little bit better than 2012.”

Do you want some bad news? You look like you want some bad news. VG247 reports that their own sources say that Rocksteady, the studio responsible for the first two Batman Arkham titles, is not developing this new game.

That’s a major bummer. We’ll have more on whatever comes from the Caped Crusader in 2013.
