Galaxy S IV Pops Up In Benchmarks Again… With a Qualcomm Chip

If you needed yet another reason to believe that Samsung is indeed building a Galaxy S IV, we have it. Thanks to SamMobile, a benchmark for a Korean-version of the new smartphone has been revealed.

The variant includes a 1.9GHz Qualcomm MSM9860 processor and Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean installed. But there’s a catch this time: it’s a bit bizarre that the benchmark actually shows a Qualcomm processor instead of the Exynos Octa that’s expected in the Galaxy S IV.

Why would Samsung opt to use a competitor’s chip when it has its own ready to go? For that reason, SamMobile thinks the benchmark could possibly be a hoax.Still, it’s possible that a Qualcomm variant exists, we’re just not sure why it would ever hit the market.
