The entire tech industry is on high alert surrounding Apple’s iWatch and the potential for creating an entire new ecosystem on wearable technology. In fact, the CEO of Pebble, a new smart watch company, was recently asked if his company has been approached by Apple for potential acquisition talks. It seems totally viable, especially if Apple wants to enter the space. Pebble’s CEO gave a somewhat esoteric response:

“I can’t comment on that,” he said, according to CNBC.

Surely if Apple wasn’t in some form of talk to acquire the company, the CEO might publicly disclose that talks weren’t ongoing. Or maybe he wants his investors to think there’s a possibility, especially if he wants additional investments in the future. Still, we wouldn’t be surprised if there were some sort of talks and we’ll be watching this closely.
