Verizon Intros 3G Prepaid Plans for Budget Conscious Buyers

by Todd Haselton | February 1, 2013

Verizon Wireless introduced new budget-friendly prepaid plans on Friday that will help anyone who doesn’t need 4G LTE data save a few bucks a month. The prepaid plans offer customers unlimited text and minutes and can be purchased with 500MB of data for $60 per month or 2GB of data for $70 per month. The catch, of course, is that you’re going only going to have access to Verizon’s slower CDMA network instead of its new, blazing fast 4G LTE network.

Verizon notes that you don’t need to buy a new phone to take advantage of the new 3G prepaid plans. Instead, you can walk in with an older Android or BlackBerry device and the carrier will get you up and running.
