Well, that was a quick burst of excitement. Google had finally made its high demand phone, the LG Nexus 4, available for purchase, and it’s already become unavailable after a few days of frantic purchasing.

Both the 8GB model and the 16GB model appeared for sale on the Google Play store this past Tuesday, and it was estimated that deliveries would take 1 – 2 weeks, a huge improvement from the 6 – 7 weeks most buyers were waiting last year. Those who had their fingers at the ready and were able to snag one of the elusive phones found that their promised delivery lengths were a little on the safe side.

Reports are coming in from CNET UK that many consumers who purchased the phone received their package two days after purchasing it. No doubt the Google shipping department is working overtime to make up for all the fuss and commotion about supply issues with LG.

If you were one of the lucky ones who was able to purchase a phone during its small window of availability, let us know if Google is able to crush its shipping estimates in America as well.
