PS Vita’s Tearaway from Media Molecule Gets Trailer and Screenshots

by Joey Davidson | January 31, 2013January 31, 2013 10:00 pm PDT

In case you haven’t been paying attention, Tearaway is the PS Vita exclusive from the Media Molecule team. Media Molecule are the U.K.-based PlayStation developer responsible for the LittleBigPlanet franchise.

With that in mind, the aesthetic of Tearaway should be instantly familiar for fans of LittleBigPlanet. The brand new trailer for the upcoming portable adventure title shows off the looks, the sounds and some of the touch mechanics distinct to this brand new IP.

You’ll be able to poke and tear at the paper world of Tearaway, and that’s a mechanic built specifically around the presence of both the rear and front touch inputs on the PS Vita.

Tearaway does not have a solid release date just yet, but Sony and Media Molecule have 2013 in their sights for a launch. We’ll be all over this one once it drops.
