Samsung Aims Crosshairs at BlackBerry in Latest Commercial

by Todd Haselton | January 21, 2013

Samsung has made fun of the way Apple fans wait in line for new devices time and time again. But now the company is turning its focus on RIM, just days ahead of the Canadian smartphone maker’s Jan. 30 BlackBerry 10 launch. A new commercial pokes fun at the way BlackBerry users tend to carry two devices, one for work and one for play, and the misconception that only BlackBerry phones are secure in the work place.

Of course, Samsung manages to cram the commercial full of features in its Galaxy Note II and Galaxy S III, such as the ability to multitask with others, share files using NFC and more. The commercial is pretty corny, but the focus on poking fun on competitors seems to be working for Samsung to some degree.

RIM has its chance to answer on Jan. 30, and we’ll be there to see exactly what’s in store.
