Pandora’s Tower Finally Being Localized by XSEED

Pandora's Tower

Don’t count the Nintendo Wii out just yet! The last of the three big Japanese RPGs demanded by a groundswell of angry Nintendo fans calling themselves Project Rainfall is finally making a Stateside appearance thanks to the hard working folks at XSEED.

Pandora’s Tower is the most controversial of the three games diving into creepy themes of human sacrifice and the decay of the human body. Many thought its questionable content held it back from being released in America as it goes against the family friendly image of the Wii, but now that there is a new chestnut on Nintendo’s back, there’s no harm in finally giving the people what they want.

Of the major three, it has also received the least flattering reviews from Japanese and European critics where the game has been available for years. Don’t let that stop you from trying it, of course. Pandora’s Tower is being published by XSEED games in America, and they had already gotten a lot of praise thanks to their work porting The Last Story, another of the Project Rainfall games, to the Wii last year.

Seems almost surreal that a highly anticipated Wii game could launch after Nintendo had no problems burning the bridges to its old console so quickly. However, once Pandora’s Tower is released, it can join Xenoblade Chronicles and The Last Story in proclaiming Project Rainfall was a bonafide 100% success getting all three games it wanted published in America.

XSEED will be releasing Pandora’s Tower in Spring this year for the Nintendo Wii.
