The Sony Xperia Z stole the mobile show (what little bit there was of one) at CES 2013, and rightfully so. Packing a 5-inch 1080p HD display and 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU, the Xperia Z will be a hot seller considering the specs and the company’s historical success in non-US markets.
A few short days post-CES, Amazon Germany is listing the smartphone at €649, though no sale date has been given yet.
Release date or not, I’m pleased to see Sony’s latest flagship make an appearance in European sales channels – though admittedly, I’m eager to see it hit the States. An Xperia ZL on AT&T would be a nice addition to the carrier’s mobile lineup, and would give power users a nice alternative to HTC, Apple and Samsung.
