Ahhh, the Bloody Palace. It is a place where Devil May Cry fans flock once they’ve beaten the campaign on every difficulty mode and still need to scratch that masochistic itch. Dante battles wave after wave of relentless demons, ascending further and further into ranks until he finally perishes. It’s Devil May Cry‘s Horde mode, it’s survival mode, it’s whatever you want to call it these days, and it’s been available freely in every Devil May Cry game since the second one.
Only now, this is the day and age of DLC packages, and Capcom doesn’t have the best reputation when it comes to delivering extra content. Fans have been rightfuly worried about whether or not the upcoming reboot DmC: Devil May Cry would follow this time honored tradition of the series and come with the game, or if they’d have to drop an extra $5 – $10 to download it or unlock it from the disc.
Not to worry, though. Capcom has confirmed that not only will Bloody Palace be available for free, but it will come shortly after the launch of the game. The Bloody Palace will not contain the massive 9,999 foor found in Devil May Cry 2 or Devil May Cry 3, but it will keep things slightly more reasonable at roughly 100 levels, similar to Devil May Cry 4.
To accompany the good news, Capcom has also released a batch of new screenshots to get fans hyped for the launch next week. Check them out in the gallery below.
DmC: Devil May Cry will be available for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on January 15th. PC gamers will be able to play it on January 25th. Stayed tuned for our reactions towards the game.
