Nintendo Uses its YouTube Channel to Show us How Terrible we are at Mario

Nintendo has launched a brand new YouTube channel for New Super Mario Bros. U. According to the Wii U notification that announced the channel, Nintendo intends “to share exciting and helpful gameplay videos…”

I personally heard about the new YouTube channel specifically for New Super Mario Bros. U when I fired up my Wii U for the first time since Christmas break. There was a notification waiting for me once I connected to the Internet. Nintendo alerted me to the channel, told me to be wary of spoilers and then gave me a nice link for the Wii U’s browser.

From there, I experienced a round of joy and utter disappointment as I once again realized that I’m terrible at Mario. The first clip Nintendo uploaded to their new channel was a new take on the very first level in the game. You’ll find it linked at the head of this post, so watch as this player takes Mario from one end of the level to the other without touching the ground once he dons the Squirrel Suit.

Did you get a Wii U for Christmas? How do you like it and New Super Mario Bros. U?
