AT&T will roll out Multi-Window support to Galaxy Note II owners on Dec. 27 (Thursday), the carrier announced in a statement to Engadget. That’ll bring AT&T’s phablet up to par with the other three big U.S. carriers, and give users more multi-tasking abilities. The update is small and should therefore go out over the air, meaning there’s no need to meddle with Samsung’s Kies software.
The multi-window feature essentially splits the Note II’s screen down the middle so users can run two apps at once. It’s a coveted part of the Note experience, and for whatever reason was omitted when Samsung’s popular handset hit the states. AT&T didn’t give a precise time when the update will roll out, but we’d imagine the carrier will start pushing it out early in the afternoon.
