Archos 97 Titanium HD - product

Archos has taken a quiet approach to announcing its latest tablet, which is surprising as it may be its best effort yet.

Without so much as a whisper, Archos added the 97 Titanium HD to its website over the weekend. This 9.7-inch device is sporting an impressive 2048 x 1536 resolution which comes in at 264 pixels per inch (PPI). If that number sounds familiar, it may be because it is exactly the same as the current fourth generation iPad.

Also worthy of note is the face that it appears to be running a stock version of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, so if you’re looking for a native experience, this may be a tablet worth your attention.

No word as of yet on a price or a release date, but that is sure to be not too far off from being announced. With CES only about two weeks away at this point, this seems like a likely location for more information to be revealed.
