Google recently poached Samsung’s U.S. vice president of strategic marketing, Brian Wallace, to work in its Motorola Mobility division. It’s unclear what Wallace’s exact job title will be, but he will “fill a similar post,” AllThingsD said. Wallace worked on the now famous Samsung Galaxy S III advertisements that mocked the iPhone 5 and anyone who waits in line for Apple products. He also worked at Research In Motion for more than 10 years.

We’re guessing there’s some relation between Google’s planned X-Phone, which it hopes will take on the iPhone and devices from Samsung, and Wallce’s recent move.
