Google Has Some Tips for Using Google Maps for iOS

Don’t act like you haven’t heard—with more than ten million people already on board, word is getting around. Google Maps for iOS has been restored to life, bigger, faster, and better than it’s ever been. We already put the app through its paces in our hands-on, but there’s still a lot to do, see, and experience.

If you’re unhappy with Apple Maps, and feel more comfortable using the tried-and-true Google service, the search giant has come up with some tips to help you get the most out of Maps for iOS. The UI has been improved quite a bit, with gestures, actions, and hidden pages galore. And best of all, Street View is back, and it’s such a great tool to have.

Helpful tips include longpressing to place a pin, swiping to see more information and settings, and syncing between your desktop and device so you can see your saved places, including your Work and Home.
