Lumia 920 P1.1 Update to Fix Fuzzy Camera Issue

Nokia is reportedly preparing an update for the Lumia 920 that will fix an issue that causes photos to look fuzzy and blurred. We noticed the issue ourselves when we first reviewed the Lumia 920 — images in general looked soft. Low light performance was good, but there was a ton of noticeable blurring when we compared shots between Nokia’s flagship and the iPhone 5.

Apparently those issues will be resolved soon, however. Engadget received two sample photos snapped of the same cat. The image on the left is with the current Lumia 920 software, dubbed PR1.0. Meanwhile, the image on the right was snapped using a Lumia 920 running the new PR1.1 firmware. There’s definitely a big difference in clarity.

Nokia is expected to push the update, which includes other Windows Phone 8 fixes, later this month.
