Samsung’s highly anticipated ATIV S, which is a big argument to hop over to Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 platform, is in a spot of bother. Late last month, rumors began to heat up claiming the device was facing a short delay, a jump into late this year, or even early next. And now a new report suggests the handset might not be out until February 2013, with a staggered worldwide launch — meaning you or I won’t have access to the device at the same time.
It’s unclear what’s causing the delays in the first place. SamMobile believes it might be to let the Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II continue to hog the spotlight, which doesn’t sound like a farfetched guess to us. But then again, the longer Samsung waits, the more chance the device will become irrelevant before it’s even released.
