Netflix to Stream Disney Movies

Walt Disney Co and Netflix have reportedly reached a deal in which Disney will provide the streaming TV and movie service with its movies. Disney, as Reuters notes, typically only provides its content to premium cable channels. Netflix customers will be able to watch Disney movies published by Marvel, Lucasfilms and Pixar beginning in 2016, when the deal replaces Netflix’s existing partnership with Starz. Reuters said that DreamWorks movies are not part of the deal. The partnership applies to streaming content only, and only movies that have been out of theaters for at least 7-9 months.
