If you’ve been playing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and all of its downloadable content on the Xbox 360, you’ll have access to Dragonborn, the next piece of content for the game, starting tomorrow on Xbox LIVE. If you’ve been living the Skyrim life on the PC or PlayStation 3, this new downloadable content will be available early next year. The DLC will sell for 1600 Microsoft Points or $20.
That’s right, Bethesda’s actually promised to bring PlayStation 3 gamers Dragonborn.
The PS3 platform has seen a different view of Skyrim. The game launched with a whole manner of glitches and bugs; not just the fun kind, these bugs are of the game breaking variety. PlayStation 3 owners still haven’t received news of any fixes or title updates on the immediate horizon.
As for DLC? Well, Bethesda hasn’t managed to launch Dawnguard and Hearthfire. A Bethesda Blog reader questioned whether or not the PS3 would see either piece of DLC before 2012’s closure, and the blog staff simply replied with this:
“We know you guys are hungry for more content, and we still have more in the works. We’ll share details with everyone as soon as we can.”
So, no, they aren’t willing to commit to an answer.
Still, the fact that Dragonborn will be hitting PlayStation 3 at all is good news for those Skyrim fans dying for more to explore.
If you play The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on the PlayStation 3, how has Bethasda’s performance in terms of DLC altered your view of the game and company?
