Microsoft announced Thursday that it will begin selling the Surface with Windows 8 Pro tablet beginning in January. The device will be offered in two models, including a 64GB option for $899 and a 128GB option for $999. That’s pretty expensive, especially if you take into consideration that you’re not even getting a keyboard. Hey, at least you’ll have a tablet that runs the complete version of Windows 8.

The Surface with Windows 8 Pro is equipped with an Intel Core i5 processor (the Surface RT has an ARM processor), a 1920 x 1080-pixel resolution display, a mini DisplayPort plug for adding an external display, a full sized USB 3.0 port and more. The Surface with Windows 8 Pro will ship with a Pen and customers can choose to purchase the touch cover or type cover separately.
