LG Optimus G2 Allegedly Packs 2GHz Quad-Core Processor, 5-inch Display

LG is apparently ready to battle with Samsung’s Galaxy IV smartphone — a new rumor surfaced on Monday that suggests its new Optimus G2 handset will pack a boatload of high-end features. According to Korean news outlet MK.Co.Kr, the LG Optimus G2 will pack a 5-inch full HD display, similar to the one found on the DROID DNA we imagine, and a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon Prime processor clocked at 2GHz.

It’s unclear how much storage will be on board, what the device will look like or what sort of camera it will have, but rumor has it the phone will run the next version of Android. We’re also guessing this beast will need to pack a massive battery. The phone is expected to launch in tandem with the Galaxy IV in May of this year, and we imagine we’ll have more details following CES and Mobile World Congress early next year.
