When Research in Motion unveils its first BlackBerry 10 handsets on January 30, one of them will be the BlackBerry L-Series, an entirely touch-based device that will not include the famous BlackBerry keyboard. It’s already shown its face a number of times over the past few months, and in this latest leaked shot, it’s pictured alongside one of its predecessors, the Bold 9700.
The image, which features an L-Series evaluation unit — not a final model — was posted to the CrackBerry forums by users “BBercat.” While it doesn’t provide us with any new information, it does highlight just how big the handset is. In fact, the Bold 9700 looks tiny in comparison.
Despite its larger form factor, however, the L-Series is slightly thinner than the Bold 9700, as you can see from the side-by-side comparison below.
I don’t know about you, but the more I see RIM’s BlackBerry 10 devices, the more excited I am for them. I just hope the Canadian company makes this lengthy wait a worthwhile one.
