Nook Color

Nightly builds of Cyanogen 10 with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean are now available for the Barnes & Noble Nook Color, which will certainly breathe fresh life into the aging eReader/tablet hybrid. There are still a few issues with the build, but it mostly sounds like a solid operating system. The folks at XDA-Developers┬ásaid there are “rare reports of high pitched noise” on some units, which would be terribly annoying, and there are issues when the CPU is under load. You also can’t overclock the tablet yet. You know, in case you wanted to turn pages really fast or something.

If your Nook Color has been collecting dust on the shelf, now is the time to wipe it off and get a fresh taste of Jelly Bean. As always, we recommend reading up on how to properly install a custom ROM and backing up your data.
