Windows Phone 8 to Land on Sprint in 2013

Windows Phone 8 is coming to Sprint, it’s just going to take a little bit to do so.

You may have noticed that Sprint was not listed as a launch partner for Windows Phone 8, and that made many wonder if the Now Network was going to miss out on the operating system all together. Well, the good news is that it is indeed coming, but the bad news is it won’t be until some unknown date next year. “Sprint and Microsoft are partnering to bring Windows Phone 8 to Sprint’s customers – operating on its 4G LTE network – next year,” the carrier told PC Mag in an emailed statement.

This will put the number three network behind its competitors, even the smaller U.S. Cellular, when it comes to Microsoft’s new platform. Considering the marketshare Microsoft has at the moment, this may no do them much damage, but it still seems like a company might want to be included at the gate for a big new product launch.
