AT&T Nokia Lumia 920 Unboxing and First Impressions (Gallery)

Nokia Lumia 920

We recently received the brand new AT&T Nokia Lumia 920, Nokia’s flagship Windows Phone 8 device. And boy, oh boy is it a beauty. We received the cherry red review unit, along with the wireless charger accessory, and we’re now more excited than ever for the phone to launch. It feels a bit hefty, but it’s solid as a rock and has a beautiful glossy finish. The 1.5GHz dual-core processor breezes through Windows Phone 8 without issue – no surprise there – and the large 4.5-inch PureMotion HD+ display is a real stunner. Blacks are deep and inky and colors pop off of the screen.

The camera seems to be really impressive so far, too. It’s especially good at taking lowlight shots, thanks to Nokia’s PureView technology. The wireless charger works as advertised; you simply have to plug it in and drop the device on it and it suddenly starts charging. It’s really fun and an awesome accessory that we’ll definitely be buying when the phone launches.

I really think Nokia has a winner here. The Lumia 920 is an improvement on the Lumia 900 in nearly every way, but it doesn’t ditch anything. You still get the great polycarbonate body, only in even more colors this time, a faster processor, Windows Phone 8, a beautiful display, NFC and more. I’ll bring you my final thoughts in my full review, but for now enjoy the unboxing video above and the gallery below.
