Microsoft Surface Tablets Finally Arriving in Canada and Europe Following Delays

Microsoft’s new Surface RT tablet is finally reaching customers in Canada, Germany, and the United Kingdom. The device made its public debut in the United States on October 26, but delays have left international customers waiting a further six days for their pre-order to be delivered.

Microsoft actually warned customers in the U.K. that their order would be delayed until November 2 shortly after their pre-orders were placed. However, on October 22, the company said that the notification went out in error, and that all customers who got in early would receive their device on the original October 26 launch date.

As it turns out, that “accidental” notification may not have been too inaccurate, after all. While it may not quite be November 2 yet, it’s still taken an extra week for international customers to begin receiving their pre-orders, and many are still waiting (im)patiently for theirs to arrive.

If you ordered a Surface RT tablet outside of the United States, have you received yours yet?
