Verizon’s HTC Windows Phone 8X Will Offer Wireless Charging Option

We recently reviewed the international version of the HTC Windows Phone 8X, which will launch on Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile and AT&T in the United States. Verizon’s model will apparently have a unique feature that isn’t offered by other versions of the device.

The Verge said Tuesday morning that Verizon’s phone will indeed offer wireless charging, a feature we so far thought was only going to be available from Nokia’s Lumia 920 Windows Phone 8 handset on AT&T. Apparently the device won’t be thicker than its counterparts without the feature and Verizon will be the exclusive carrier with it. Verizon has so far not said how much the device will cost, or when it will be available, but we suspect it will launch before the holidays with the Samsung ATIV Odyssey and the Nokia Lumia 822.

TechnoBuffalo reached out to AT&T for comment as to why its model doesn’t offer wireless charging. We’ll update this post as soon as we hear back, if any comment is available.
