Microsoft Releases Windows Phone 8 SDK for Developers

Microsoft’s Windows Phone app ecosystem is growing, but the 120,000 applications available in its Store is still a distance from the 700,000 available from Google Play and Apple’s iTunes App Store. The company today announced something that will help developers create new apps, and enhance existing ones, for its brand new Windows Phone 8 operating system. The Windows Phone 8 software development kit (SDK) is now available for download, and it includes “everything you need” to create new games and apps for the platform.
