Chrono Trigger Now Available for iOS and Android

One of the greatest classic RPGs ever released now has an official port available on both App Store for iOS and Google Play marketplace for Android. Chrono Trigger has been released to both mobile devices by Square Enix.

Square Enix does have a recent history of pricing their games quite high in the mobile marketplace, and they’ve gone and repeated that same principle for Chrono Trigger. This port of a game near 20 years in age will run you $9.99 on both platforms.

Early reviews from consumers suggest the port presents sloppy controls and an awkward user-interface. Though, like some customers indicate, a lot of players are willing to overlook poor porting efforts simply because, well, it’s an official, mobile version of Chrono Trigger.

If you’re a younger gamer and you’ve never experienced this wonderful, story-diven, time-travelling RPG, you should pick up Chrono Trigger. The same also applies to older gamers who never had a chance to play this title. That is, of course, if you have an extra ten bucks lying around for a game on your phone.

Here it is in the Google Play marketplace, and here it is in the App Store.

Are you snagging this, or is $9.99 a bit too steep?
