Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation Lets You Assassinate Anywhere

Pretty much since the dawn of gaming at home, players have yearned for a time when we could take the same level of graphics, immersion and playability with us on the road, away from home. We’ve seen portable systems come and go that promise gaming close to what we do in front of our TVs, but Sony swears their PlayStation Vita is the closest thing to console gaming on the road.

That’s what this Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation live-action commercial is all about. Sony and Ubisoft have come together to take their shot at console-like gaming on the go. Specifically, on the J Train.

The one thing I’m hesitant about with this portable entry in the Assassin’s Creed line is exactly how much touch and gesture control is involved. One of the things that hurt Uncharted: Golden Abyss the most in my mind was the constant need to swipe, wipe, twist and turn the PS Vita in order to progress through the story. The analogue sticks on the PS Vita are fantastic for these types of adventures, why mess things up with the rear touchpad?

I know I’ll snag Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation when it launches tomorrow, will you?
