Steve Jobs’ yacht, Venus, has officially launched in the Dutch city of Aalsmeer with his widow and three children in attendance for the event.
It was revealed in Walter Isaacson’s biography of Jobs that the former Apple CEO was spending some of his final days working on the design for his yacht. It was then revealed earlier this year that French designer Philippe Starck was also involved in the project, but very little other information was known.
Now Dutch Apple site One More Thing has revealed some images of the ship along with a video. The ship was officially named Venus, and during the launch Laurene Powell Jobs and their three children were present.
The ship is definitely unusual looking, but you can see some of the normal Apple smooth lines in its exterior. And the wheelhouse – with its helm made of 27-inch iMacs – should also serve as a good clue to who was behind the ship.
No word as to what the plans are for the ship at this time.
