Google has sent out an email to the press announcing that its event scheduled for Monday has been cancelled. No word as of yet when we can expect it to be rescheduled.

With Hurricane Sandy building strength, and New York City appearing to be directly in its path, it isn’t too big of a surprise that the following statement is going out to all of the press in regards to the Google event scheduled for Monday morning.

We have no clue if Google will move ahead with the release of the LG Nexus 4 for next week as it seemed everything was in place for orders to go live. Our suspicion, and this is only our suspicion, is that the phone will be delayed.

Considering the projected magnitude of this storm, we definitely feel this was the right call on the part of Google.
