Apple may have pushed your buttons today if you recently purchased a “new iPad.” That’s because it just announced an upgraded model with an A6X processor and Lightning dock port and more.
Apple typically allows customers to return a device within 14 days of a purchase, but one store is apparently extending that to 30 days. According to CNET, the Stockton Street Apple Store in San Francisco explained that it will swap out the third generation iPad for a new fourth generation iPad for anyone who purchased it within the last month.
Apparently this isn’t a national Apple policy, however. “You’ll have to call and find out” if other stores will honor the same trade, the manager told CNET. “We can’t speak to other stores’ policies — this is something our store has decided to do.”
Worth a shot, eh?
