Apple: 1.5 Million Books in iBook Store, 400 Million Book Downloads to Date

Apple’s CEO Tim Cook just shared a bit of information on the company’s iBook performance.

He said Apple now has 1.5 million books available for purchase and download in its iBook Store, and that there have been more than 400 million book downloads to date. Apple is also launching a new iBooks application today with support for Japanese, Chinese and Korean. It offers the ability to share quotes, new continuous scrolling and more.
