I guess if you wrestle alligators or base jump off enormous cliffs, you’d want a “rugged” smartphone. One that doesn’t bend or break after a bit of roughhousing. But if you want something attractive, something cutting edge? The $99 Samsung Galaxy Rugby Pro really isn’t for you. This is clearly designed for risk takers, the people who traverse Yosemite’s El Capitan without a harness.
If your job is to study sharks from metal cages, ok, get the Rugby Pro. Maybe. It has some specs that probably don’t matter to people like Hulk Hogan because all they want is a device that they can pile drive onto a picnic table.
I’d like to see that.
The Rugby Pro will be available through AT&T on Oct. 21 for $99 with two-year contract.
