Halo 4’s Launch Trailer, “Scanned,” Goes Live

by Joey Davidson | October 19, 2012October 19, 2012 8:00 am PST

The brand new launch trailer for Halo 4 has been posted by the folks at Microsoft. It checks in at over two minutes in length, and it should do wonders to get Halo fans pumped up.

While it arrives without any actual gameplay footage, the brand new Halo 4 trailer delivers a wealth of history and live-action goodness from start to finish. It’s the kind of storytelling and ambiance that belongs next to an epic franchise like Halo, and it worked well enough to get me excited.

Of course, this “launch trailer” doesn’t actually mark the launch of the game. We’re still a few weeks away from being able to fire up our consoles and embark on 343 Industries’ first take on the Halo series. Halo 4 will officially release for the Xbox 360 on November 6th.

I say “officially” because some jerks have “unofficially” downloaded the full game, played it online, got caught and were permanently banned from Xbox LIVE.
