A Beautiful Look Inside Google Data Centers

google-datacenter-tech-11Ever wonder what a Google data center looks like?  I imagined lots of server blades stacked neatly with lights and wires all over, and in my fantasy-filled mind: little green Androids servicing these servers.

Google takes us into the world of these data centers through a series of beautiful photos shot by Connie Zhou is a group of photos called Where the Internet Lives.

Spoiler alert: the Internet lives in some really sweet digs.

Of course in true Google-form, the data centers get the full Google Street View treatment and, just as in real Google Street View, there are a few surprises around the corner (Android, Stormtrooper and more).

As technology fans, it is always a treat to get a glimpse of the behind the scenes look at a company.  I’d love to see more companies take this approach.
