Windows Phone 8 devices probably won’t hit the market until early November. Why? Because Microsoft hasn’t officially detailed all of its features yet. In fact, we aren’t usually allowed to play with the operating system, even when we’re checking out demo units from Nokia and HTC. That doesn’t mean you won’t be able to secure a device soon, however.
An alleged Best Buy advertisement suggests the big box retailer will begin accepting pre-orders for HTC’s flagship Windows Phone 8X smartphone starting on Oct. 21. The ad itself doesn’t specifically provide a date, but a tipster who sent the image to WPCentral said the ad will run in-store between Oct. 21 and Oct. 27. AT&T’s Windows Phone 8X model is pictured above, you can tell from the orange pre-installed AT&T apps on the home screen, but Windows Phone 8X will also be available from T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless.
We’re madly in love with the Windows Phone 8X, and we’re happy to see that it looks like it will hit store shelves soon.
