Speaking strictly as a fan of both Disney and gaming, I really, really want this to be good. When the first Epic Mickey arrived, I bought into it with the hopes that it would be a wonderful combination of two things that I both love and grew up with. While inspired, the mechanics behind the game left the overall product mediocre.
Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, despite having a terrible title, promises to fix a lot of the problems that bogged the original game. This product supposedly features an infinitely stronger camera mechanic, it sports drop-in/drop-out cooperative play, it’s available for HD consoles and it actually has musical moments akin to classic Disney flicks.
Plus, judging by the screenshots below, the game packs a strong artistic presence. If it’s as good as it looks, we might be in for a really great game.
Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two will launch for the Wii U, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC and platforms on November 18th, 2012.
