Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Coming to U.K. on October 25 for £109 ($175)

Amazon has announced that the new Kindle Paperwhite, the latest arrival in its series of Kindle e-readers, is coming to the United Kingdom on October 25. Pricing for the Wi-Fi-only device is £109 (approx. $175), while the Wi-Fi + 3G model costs £169 (approx. $271).

The Kindle Paperwhite made its debut in the United States on October 1, and it’s been selling like hot cakes ever since. Though that’s hardly surprising, given the improvements this device offers over its predecessors. It boasts a significantly better display with a 758×1024 resolution, which offers a pixel density of 212 ppi — that’s 62% more pixels than previous models.

But the biggest selling point, of course, is that illuminated display, which finally allows you to read your Kindle in the dark.

Like all Kindles, the Paperwhite offers access to Amazon’s library of more than 200,000 books, all of which can be downloaded wirelessly directly to the device.
