A new Nokia Lumia 822 handset headed to Verizon has appeared in a leaked photograph ahead of its official unveiling.
According to the image, this mid-range handset will be packing an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera — just like the original Lumia 820 built for AT&T’s GSM network — and it will boast 4G LTE connectivity. It also appears to be running the latest Windows Phone 8 operating system.
The Lumia 822 first appeared in a Verizon device management system back in September, but this is the first time we’ve seen it out in the wild. According to that system, the handset will be available in black and grey, at least, but there’s not a lot else we know about it at this time.
Having said that, we expect the device to be much the same as the Lumia 820 internally, so we’re likely to be looking at a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage. Externally, as you can see, the Lumia 822 is a little more rounded at the edges than the Lumia 820.
Are you looking forward to the Lumia 822 for Verizon?
