Let the analyst predictions for an unannounced product continue! Today we bring you the words of Topeka Capital Markets analyst Brian White, which were recently published in a note to investors.
White thinks that China is going to be the perfect market for the iPad mini. He points to the success of the Galaxy Note in China as one reason why consumers will likely gravitate to a 7.85-inch iPad. “While the Galaxy Note is also a smartphone, we believe the tablet capabilities are the main reason for purchase in China,” White said Thursday. “Our conversations during our meetings and casual consumer interactions this week tells us the iPad Mini will take off like [a] wildfire in China.”
White’s words aren’t just to make headlines, however. He’s actually touring Asia right now and meeting with Apple suppliers and, as he said, speaking with consumers. He also found that Hong Kong currently has “iPhone 5 fever” and noted several stores that were still out of stock.
