AT&T Updates Motorola Atrix 2 to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

Ice Cream Sandwich

AT&T announced on Tuesday that it is officially rolling out the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update to the Motorola Atrix 2. Unfortunately, this is probably the last update the Atrix 2 will receive, since it’s hard to imagine Motorola and AT&T working on an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for such an old device.

“The many new features include the new browser with improved page loading, tabbed browsing, offline reading and desktop mode,” AT&T said. “There are new lock/unlock features such as the ability to unlock directly to the camera, text messaging, phone dialer, home screen or use Face Unlock. You can also create home screen folders just by dragging one app icon onto another, and swipe away notifications bar.” Android 4.0 certainly is a nice upgrade over Gingerbread, so you’ll want to apply this as soon as possible.
