iPad Mini Mockup Image Gives us More Sense of Scale Next to Larger iPad

ipad-mini-mockupA new iPad mini picture posted on Twitter recently  — it’s authenticity hasn’t yet been verified — is further giving us a sense of scale next to Apple’s bigger mama tablet. What’s particularly odd about the image is the mini’s volume lock orientation/mute buttons, which suggests Apple is set to deviate slightly from its usual iPad design.

Additionally, the entire image has us questioning if what we’re looking at is legit or not — everything is so soft and grainy, giving it a bit of an unnatural feel. Be that as it may, the rest of the mini’s design is right on point with all the rumors we’ve heard, right on down to the new Lightning connector.

The Lightning port, for that matter, looks a bit large in the image. Let’s chalk this up to a nothing more than a mockup for now, but it’s likely the experience consumers can expect when Apple introduces the device later this month.
