Starbucks app on iPhone

Starbucks has issued an update to its official iPhone app this week, adding support for iOS 6 and the new Passbook feature. This allows you to add your Starbucks Card to Passbook, making it quicker and easier than ever to pay for your morning espresso — “just scan and go!”

If you have a Starbucks Card, you probably have the Starbucks app installed on your iPhone already; after all, it’s the fastest way to check your balance, reload your card, and track all the stars you’ve earned in the Starbucks Rewards program. But if you don’t have it, there’s never been a better time to install it.

With Passbook support, you don’t even need to take your wallet out of your pocket when paying for your coffee — just show the Starbucks Card on your iPhone and get it scanned.

This update also brings iOS 6 support, makes it easier to sign up to the Starbucks Rewards program, and makes accessibility, data optimization, and performance improvements. The one thing it doesn’t do, unfortunately, is add support for the iPhone 5’s larger 4-inch display, so it’s still letter-boxed on that device for now. You can download the app now using the App Store link below.
