All of Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 secrets will be laid out in front of a San Francisco crowd on Oct. 29. Mere days after the company holds its Windows 8 event in NYC, Microsoft will let consumers and media alike in on everything there is to know about its new mobile OS. What we do know is that handsets will be offered by Nokia, Samsung and HTC, but we haven’t been given precise availability dates. The Oct. 29 event will likely unveil when WP8 will launch, meaning manufacturers will probably be free to divulge more information as well. There are quite a few flagship handsets landing with Microsoft’s pretty new OS, and it’s about time it hits consumer hands. It’s been a long, agonizing wait. Let’s hope our patience is rewarded when Windows Phone 8 hits.
