We’ve heard several rumors suggesting that the Samsung Galaxy S III will get a miniature sibling — some from as far back as August — and late last month, a listing for the handset appeared in a carrier database in Europe. But we’ve yet to hear anything from Samsung making the Galaxy S III Mini official. Yet.
The Korean company’s German subsidiary has now begun issuing invites for an October 11 press event — and it’s got Galaxy S III Mini written all over it. According to Unwired View, the invite teases “something small will be something really big,” and “get ready for a little sensation.”
If that doesn’t hint at a Galaxy S III Mini, I don’t know what does.
According to previous rumors, the Galaxy S III Mini will boast a 4-inch 480 x 800 display in a significantly smaller package. It will also feature a 5-megapixel camera, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
