Price of Simple Touch with GlowLight Dropping to Compete with Kindle Paperwhite

nook-simple-touch-with-glowlight-price-cutWith Amazon’s Kindle Paperwhite looming, Barnes & Noble is reportedly slashing the price of its Nook Simple Touch with GlowLight by up to $20. If so, that brings the device down to $119 (previously priced at $139) and puts it at the same cost of Amazon’s offering. Two separate ads from Walmart and Target reflect the price change, though nothing has officially been announced by Barnes & Noble. Really, it’s not a surprise at all with the Paperwhite set to launch on Oct. 1, and particularly since Amazon’s device is reportedly so in demand. The market of eReaders is more alive than ever with such splendid devices like the Simple Touch w/GlowLight and Kindle Paperwhite on the market, and $119 isn’t a bad entry point at all. It’ll be a difficult decision when choosing between the two over the next few months.
