Apple’s in-demand iPhone 5 has continued its rollout today, reaching a further 22 markets in Europe and New Zealand just one week after making its debut in the United States and other larger international markets.
Those countries receiving the iPhone 5 today include: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
The iPhone 5 also expands its reach in the United States today, launching on a number of regional carriers such as Cricket, C Spire, Bluegrass Cellular, Cellcom, GCI, Golden State Cellular, Nex-Tech Wireless, Pioneer Wireless, Appalachian Wireless, MTA Solutions, Alaska Communication Systems, and nTelos.
Despite reaching just nine markets on day one, the iPhone 5 has already been a massive success for Apple, selling a whopping five million units during its first weekend of availability and overtaking the iPhone 4S as the fastest-selling iPhone yet. That number will keep rocketing as the iPhone 5 continues its worldwide rollout, of course.
